The National Trust at Devils Dyke

About: Dartmoor ponies have been recruited to maintain the rare chalkland as they are used for conservation grazing by eating the bramble and gorse which starve the slower growing grassland plants. The national trust works to ensure that the rare and slow growing plant life is conserved and increase biodiversity

Connection to the Biosphere and its principles: Aims to conserve biodiversity by preventing more invasive species of plant life from flourishing by using Dartmoor ponies which eat trample and eat the more abundant plant life such as brambles.
