About: By the Friends of Lewes, working with Lewes District Council and others. Planting trees and hedges to increase tree cover and improve biodiversity after conducting a survey finding only 11.5% tree canopy cover. Since 2014 planted 123 mature street trees and almost 2000 hedges in Lewes.
