Residents from this street in Hanover organised a very successful street party and a greening project in 2015. I went door knocking with one of the residents to a street they admired for its green look. During our time door knocking we found that residents from this green street had also managed to get permission from the Council to close the street through an scheme called PlayStreet. The resident was very enthusiastic and fed back to the group that they should do the same. On the day they gave away plants to their neighbours and organised a great street party with the longest tug of war I have ever seen!
