Vanessa founded Dorovee, a creative hub and environmentally focused fashion social enterprise that works with women and girls in marginalised communities that have dropped out of school and are young mothers. The creative hub trains members to create accessories using waste materials and indigenous Malawian materials for income generation. The hub addresses the problem of pollution under the trash-to-cash initiative by recycling materials such as plastics, paper, waste fabrics, rubber and wood shavings.
