After running a design agency for seven years, Yegwa Ukpo moved into the fashion founding a retail concept called Stranger. Yegwa has since become a recognisable figure in the Lagos fashion industry, winning the best curation award at the 2015 edition of the ‘International Fashion Showcase’ in London and working on a number of designs for pop-up stores and fashion installations as well as product design. He is passionate about creating a future where human beings thrive in concert with the rest of the planet and is currently working on a project called ‘Newtype’ focused on creating synergies between indigenous and contemporary technologies and wisdom in order to generate alternate futures.
