MyCWA offer the Tandem programme for young people (aged 12 – 21) who need help managing conflict in their relationship with their parents or other primary caregivers.

CRITERIA

Catchment: Cheshire East

Age: Work with the whole family of children aged 12 – 21.

All referrals are triaged to enable to most appropriate service to be offered.

If the family does not meet the criteria for support from Tandem, they will be signposted to alternative services.

THE SERVICE

Tandem supports the whole family via group work and one to one provision. Online service, or in shared resources at one of the organisation centres. The programme lasts 6 – 12 weeks but may be extended on occasions.

Training and consultation are also offered to professionals.

EVALUATION

Tandem was developed by Emily Alison of Protagoras consulting and the pilot was delivered by Cheshire without Abuse and the Cheshire East Youth Offending Team. The pilot was successful, with significant positive improvements for the families involved. Emily continues to provide on-going case and group clinical supervision.
