THE SERVICE

The Haven offers the 3 Steps to Connect Programme (3SC), for families experiencing child to parent violence, working with sister companies within The Centre of Excellence in Child Trauma.

This is a 6-week programme working with parents, trademarked to Fostering Attachments Ltd.

Work follows a 3 Step approach which combines Empathic Listening and Coaching techniques, Havening Techniques® and Conflict Management and De-escalation Techniques.

There is no direct work with children as part of this programme. Parents must be over the age of 19.

CATCHMENT

In person sessions are held at the Haven Centre in Gloucestershire. The service is also available nationwide via TEAMS.

REFERRAL AND ASSESSMENT

Referrals are accepted from parents, social workers, or other supporting professionals.

Assessment is by means of a 20-minute consultation in order to fully understand the circumstances and establish that the programme is suitable. Where other professionals are also involved, the Haven strives to ensure a positive partnership experience.

There is currently a waiting list of approximately 6 – 8 weeks.

FUNDING

The package has been funded by Adoption Support Fund (ASF) for adopted and SGO families. It has also been funded by Local authorities working with foster parents and birth parents in edge of care services. Some parents also self-fund, and there are payment plans available for this.
