Digital Champions provide support and training in community settings across the Borough. Digital champion volunteers run IT drop ins supporting small groups to use computers to either build their digital confidence, support them in benefit applications or job searches.

Edge Hill University run leadership and research training with Rochdale Champion Volunteers. Volunteers were invited to spend time reflecting and discussing the range of leadership skills that they used, the session considered how these might be developed into a volunteer led project. Several ideas for projects were incubated; around linking digital and literacy champions roles and building local profile for the champions.
