In 2015 an application to the European Commission enabled a collaborative project between Mike Hartill at Edge Hill University, the German Sport University, Cologne and six other university partners from Spain, Denmark, Belgium, Austria, Hungary and Slovenia.

The VOICE project allowed Mike to extend his earlier work with ‘survivors’ on a European level and this project has had a significant impact on the European sports sector. Final outputs, including educational resources for the grassroots sports sector will be released in 2018 and 2019.
