"Design is not only seen from one perspective, because making a design is a series of small decisions." That's what Trianzani Sulshi as a designer said. According to her, as long as a designer or a maker has his/her own 'way of thinking', any material can be processed into works that possess the strength of that material. "Just like a tree which is a living thing, then it is killed to be made into a product. It must be given life again so that it can have use value and be useful for the people around it." Trianzani always tries her best in creating her products so that the end result becomes a good product. According to her, by making a high-quality chair that can last for a long time, it means that the tree will continue to live as a chair. As a result, there will be no more trees that have to be cut down to make chairs. Trianzani is very concerned about the waste resulted from project materials. For example, bricks that have been broken into small parts and are not intact are remade into a solid object but with a coarser texture and can be reused as raw materials. This is done based on Trianzani's experiences in processing waste material so that it remains valuable and can be reused. Trianzani also considers material to be something important for a maker. For example, because a rattan does not have the same properties as iron, the way to treat the two materials will also be different. Materials must be treated like living things that need to breathe. Trianzani and Aliri Studio want to take advantage of the existing resources in each area where the projects are carried out, because Indonesia is a country that is rich in types of wood from the easternmost to the westernmost regions. Therefore, it is important to involve an expert in utilizing local resources. The maker and a local expert can exchange ideas and together learn about a material. In practice, even Trianzani as a designer or a maker never tries to interrupt the natural environment. In fact, she always tries to adapt herself to nature.
