This 30ft by 20ft community garden situated on Stanford Avenue has been running since the Summer of 2013.
It went on to win the Best Community Garden award as a part of the Brighton & Hove City in Bloom 2014 competition, and this was in its first year.
Environmental Benefits: This has obvious positive effects on the Environment, first and foremost it shows people that it is possible to grow your own food and be (to an extent) self sustaining. The educating of local people on the best ways to produce their own vegetables is important in promoting this lifestyle to the local people. It is part of the Brighton and Hove Food Partnership which is a non-profit organisation that advises people on healthy eating, growing food in the community and reducing food waste at home.
