Preston park Rock Garden was created in 1935 and is the largest rock garden in the UK. It is home to various flora and fauna. Visitors can walk around the garden exploring the various plants and animals that live there. The pond has a variety of fish species, and it's a habitat for a variety of insects.
How does the garden contribute for environmental citizenship?
The rock garden offers a vast array of biodiversity and creates habitats for some of the UK's most vulnerable species, for example having plants which are specific for both butterflies and bees. Due to this it is important visitors to the garden respect and look after it.
