Friends of Preston Park is a group which aim to promote the improvement of the park for those who use it. they do this by encouraging park users and the community to value the park by holding park-related activities and events, they act as a two-way communication hub for members, liaising constructively with the council and other officials. They can be considered as contributing to environmental citizenship as it is a local group that involves the community to promote and protect Preston park.
