Aim: To provide food for the homeless and poor living in Brighton
Background: Started up by Ann Roberts, a member of the local church, who helped feed the hungry every night for over 20 years and wanted to encourage people to volunteer and donate to the cause. The local church funds the food along with donations from the public.
Benefits: This soup run helps the local community who need it most, it ensures people are fed on a daily basis from the donations of other local people who can give food or volunteer their service.
Facts and Figures: It costs only £15 per night which is funded by the church to feed up to 40 homeless people every night.
