Along Western Road there is a large variety of restaurants, cafés and shops many which sell free-range, fair trade, organic and locally sourced and produced food products. The Real Patisserie This bakery uses locally produced food from the Sussex Valley, despite being a large scale company, as well as freshly producing its products (such as breads, pastries and cakes) in store. This contributes to the companies ecological footprint as the distance travelled for its food to be produced and consumed is largely reduced. This allows local people to live sustainably and reduce their own ecological footprint; increasing their input to environmental citizenship.
