In memory of fallen soldiers in the First World War.
Friends of Hove Park created this Wildflower chalk Mound in March 2014. They covered it with a thin topsoil layer ready for planting.
How is this contributing to environmental citizenship?
This is good for the environment, increasing biodiversity to the park in terms of creating a diverse range of plants that attract more wildlife into the area. It is contributing to environmental citizenship as it is the community that plants the flowers. Having a positive influence on the environment, as well as for citizens to enjoy.
