Brighton & Hove City Council has been working with local landscape architect Tom Hardiment, the Friends of Queen's Park and the local community to develop proposals for the park. Plans to raise funding and promote environmental citizenship include Bark in the Park - Sunday 15 June Picnic in the Park - Sunday 29 June

The group has also been responsable for the emergance of the Quiet Garden and monitoring and promoting of local bird life which has been at risk from the increased number of squirels in the park.

Plant life is also monitered e.g. the effects alien species has on native species.
