The Big Lemon bus service runs on recycled waste cooking oil from local businesses. Two of the stops for the lemon bus is at Phoenix halls and old steine. It is collected and then processed in Eastbourne where it is turned into biodiesel. One of The Big Lemon's suppliers is Infinity Food Café situated in the North Laines.
This is citizenship for the environment because it does not produce and harmful products that can be released into the atmosphere such as air pollution from petrol and diesel. Along with that it is a very popular mode of transport for students and so the actual Brighton buses are used much less. Also by sharing transport it allows more people to be transported with less of the emissions being released because no cars would be needed.
