Dr Neil Maxwell has worked with Dr Andreas Flouris on several projects, the first as part of a multi-disciplinary European research team examining heat-related health effects in the elderly, that led towards the submission of a Horizon 2020 Marie Curie Innovative Training Network Grant in 2017.

Dr Maxwell and Dr Flouris have also worked together with Dr Carl James, Dr Zac Schlader and several other members of the Environmental Extremes Lab (Dr Oli Gibson, Dr Mark Hayes, Dr Ash Willmott) in a study defining the determinants of endurance running performance in the heat.
