Two SESAME research students are working closely with the Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS).
SESAME's Exercise and Human Tolerance lab has a strong interest in the neural processes involved in the perception of effort during exercise.
A collaboration has been developed with the Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS) which sees SESAME PhD student Aaron Greenhouse-Tucknott being supervised by Dr Jeanne Dekerle and Dr Neil Harrison.
Jake Butterworth, a SESAME research student linked to the Expertise and Cognitive Neuroscience lab is collaborating with Professor Hugo D. Critchley on research focussed on examining individual differences in sensitivity and awareness of internal bodily states and the effect that this has on exercise behaviour and tolerance. This collaboration began in 2015 and is expected to continue until 2018.
