Professor Nick Webborn of the IPC Medical Committee undertook research, with others, at the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

The research into injury and illness during the games led to publications in PM&R, the Scandanavian Journal of Medicine and Sports Science and the American Journal of Sports Medicine.

Following London 2012, Professor Webborn and his collaborators are looking to work more longitudinally in individual sports and this is the subject of various research discussions and potential collaborations.
