Description: ParaSITE is a project designed to transform waste (originally black bin bags, and now a transparent plastic often reclaimed from ziplock bags) into shelters for homeless people. Rakowitz uses HIVAC air conditioning vents on the exterior or buildings to inflate and heat the structures, providing a warm, impermeable shelter.
