We Four Mind - Seed Fund 2015

This project brings together an exciting new partnership between the University of Brighton, local charity Amaze and the Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CCAMHS) to address the critical support needs of parent carers of young people (yp) with mental health (MH) difficulties. Specifically the project will design, pilot and evaluate a discreet and specialist course for parent carers that aims to:

  1. Increase the capacity of parent carers to support their children’s MH and wellbeing
  2. Profile the value of working across community, statutory and university knowledge bases to meet identified local need
  3. Broadcast the relevance of parent carer support to yp’s MH and wellbeing
  4. Evidence the benefit and additional value of group based support work with parent carers.
