Repair Cafe Forest Row

Held in The Community Centre, Hartfield Road, Forest Row on the 3rd Saturday of every month except December. The Forest Row Repair Cafe aims to help reduce waste by encouraging a repair culture in our community. A repair can save time, money and waste. Items we can repair include electrical, fabrics, computers, bikes, wood work, furniture, damaged books and we occasionally have someone for clocks and jewellery.
Whilst you wait for a repairer we have a delicious cafe for you to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a piece of homemade cake donated by local businesses.

Forest Row Car Club

The Forest Row Car Club is an initiative of Forest Row Parish Council in partnership with Transition Forest Row which came into being with the help of a grant from East Sussex County Council to support community transport schemes. We aim to provide an alternative to your private car, whether your main car or a second car, that is economical, flexible and environmentally friendly. The club will also be a useful transport option for those who don't own a car at all

Forest Row Cycle Hire

Welcome to the new-look Forest Row Cycle Hire

Our new smartphone-based unlocking system means you can turn up and hire a bike any time, any day of the week. Just download the App-Bike app and follow the instructions!

Cycling is a fantastic way to travel, to stay healthy and to explore the Sussex countryside. Forest Row Cycle Hire is perfectly located: we’re just two minutes’ ride from the Forest Way, which offers a safe and relaxing traffic-free route through beautiful countryside to Hartfield, Groombridge and beyond. And for the more adventurous we’re on Sustrans Route 21, which goes from South London to Eastbourne on the south coast.

We offer top quality adult bikes for instant rental: Dawes ladies’ and gentlemen’s hybrids, and mountain bikes are available. One of our bikes is fitted with a child seat. Children’s bikes, trailers and other equipment can be reserved in advance by special arrangement by emailing bikereservations@forestrow.org. We offer helmets and locks, too, for added security.

There’s no need to book ahead for our standard bikes: simply scan and go. Just the thing for a spontaneous outing if friends and family come to visit and you fancy popping along the Forest Way to have a pub lunch in Hartfield or Withyham, less than an hour’s ride at a gentle pace.

Great idea! How do I book? It couldn't be easier! just visit http://forestrow.gov.uk/Booking-a-Bike.aspx and follow the instructions to download the App.
