Brighton and Hove Food Partnership

The Borrowed Garden can be found behind the Rotunda Café. It is part of the Brighton and Hove Food Partnership scheme, a non-profit organisation providing information, inspiration and connection around food. The allotment is maintained by volunteers every Tuesday morning with the aim to promote 'grow your own' produce and uses the communal compost bins located beside (information on this can also be found on Community21 map). Originally set up in 1994 with the idea to help maintain gardens surrounding Preston Manor, it encourages people to reconnect with the idea of where food comes from. The gardens were restored in 2000 with the help of a Heritage Lottery grant.
