Preston Park Tavern was awarded Sustainable Pub of the Year at the Sustainable Restaurant Awards 2013. It was recognised for its involvement with the local community and by the measures it is using to try and reduce the pub’s ecological footprint. It works with campaigns such as Freedom Food ‘Simply Ask’, which encourages people to think about animal welfare when dining out.

Preston park tavern links back to environmental citizenship as it aims to be sustainable. By sourcing all of its food and drink from sustainable sources it is able to protect the environment as it promotes good environmental practice.
