Pavilion Gardens

The Regency Gardens surrounding the Royal Pavilion provide visitors as well as locals with a green space in the heart of the city, near the North Laines and other main attractions.

These gardens are maintained under a strict set of organic guidelines provided by the council, and enforced by the parks staff with the help of the garden volunteers. This 'nature assisted' and influenced method of management promotes and supports biodiversity within the gardens. The variation in plant life attracts a broad range of biodiversity such as butterflies, birds and bees.

This is an example of a strong sense of citizenship for the environment as the council is encouraging biodiversity to breed and to improve, to benefit the local area and environment.
