The Brighton & Hove Food Partnership is all about food, it is a non profit organisation that helps people learn to cook, to eat a healthy diet, to grow their own food and to waste less food. They do this through intervention with the Brighton and Hove community, and are based in the North Laines. They recruit volunteers to help deliver the messages and schemes they endorse. delivers a range of community projects such as:

-Cookery courses for beginners and those looking to teach others, Helping people grow food with others in their community ,Tips and advice on reducing food waste at home , Setting up community composting sites across the city , Healthy eating advice and workshops , Advice on food poverty and support for food banks , Weight management programmes for adults and families

They started in 2003, and are seen as a leader in the field, with recognition from the National Lottery Awards, the Local Food Awards, the local 'Sector Stars' awards and the House of Commons Select Committee on Sustainable Food.

Brighton & Hove has been recognised for a number of innovations, and work in the city provided some of the inspiration for the Sustainable Food Cities network across the UK, with 'Food Partnerships' now setup in other cities.

The actions from the Brighton and Hove food partnership show big amounts of environmental citizenship as they are directly addressing the issue of food waste, which is dramatically negatively impacting the environment.
