Big Spring Beach Clean

A previous beach clean campaign

SAS is a charity representing Surfers Against Sewage, they were started initially to prevent sewage waste being dumped in to the sea untreated as it has the potential to cause illness to sea/beach users. They have expanded to tackle other issues such as beach litter and have launched many small to large scale campaigns. One of these campaigns is the 'Big Spring Beach Clean' which will be returning to Brighton Beach on the 7th of March and 26th of April 2015. Find out more on the link provided below.

This is an example of environmental citizenship as it engages volunteers and awareness for beach/sea cleanliness and essentially the maintenance of marine biology.
