A Library of Things

The Waste House and Duncan Baker-Brown promote a Library of Things initiative. This is a centre where household and many other items can be stored so that community members can pay a small fee to borrow it for short periods of time instead of having to buy the item in full.

This reduces the need for new items to be bought by multiple individuals/households and therefore helping to reduce the waste of resources and items ending up in landfill. Given the transient culture of Brighton, with many AirBnBs and students, or younger people that live here for short periods of time, could this idea be expanded?

Could there be a dedicated larger space for this which is widely and popularly known?
