Communities Matter set up a one day Pop Up Energy Cafe to promote the Your Energy Sussex initiative on behalf of West Sussex County Council.

We encouraged local people to visit us at the Harriet Johnson Community Centre in Sompting Village for energy bill checking & switching and advice.

Joining us at the event were Guildcare Energy & Money Visitors to promote the advise service they offer. Representatives from Southern Gas Network ( SGN) were on hand to update local residents who are having gas installed in their homes -as parts of Sompting are still off gas. YES Energy Solutions - A national community interest company committed to reducing CO2 and alleviating fuel poverty in the UK were in the hall with advice for local residents.

A total of £2,364 was saved on the day through residents bill checking.
