A lively centre at the heart of the local community. It holds a wide range of community-based activities and events catering for all age groups. As a volunteered ran centre it provides a range of schemes from self-help groups to adult education, this hub actively enables the residents of Adelaide and Brunswick to support themselves as well as the their peers.
The Brunswick & Adelaide Local Action Team is also located at the community centre. The team meets every 7 weeks here with all residents and businesses within the area being invited. The Neighbourhood Policing Team of the ward as well as councillors and speakers are also invited, The priorities of the meeting are any damage occurring to trees and dog fouling. The meeting promotes incentives for the local residents to actively take part in the conservation and maintainence of the ward.
This contributes to Environmental Citizenship by being a foundation for the neighbourhood to come together, this will encourage a stronger sense of community and in turn, would hope to create more care, consideration and respect for the surrounding environment. If most communities had this, then there would be a increased Environmental Citizenship.
