The Hanover Community Centre is the central hub for many environmental organizations within the ward including Hanover 10:10, Hanover Action For Sustainable Living, The Vegetable Education Garden and much more. Independent events are regularly held here that promote environmental issues such as the talk titled "zero Carbon Britain" which took place in February. The community centre is part of Eco Open Houses Brighton and Hove which means improvement have been made to the building to reduce the carbon footprint such as improving insulation and fitting a new boiler. There are also plans to install solar panels and a green/living roof.
