Lewes Natural Flood Management

About: Lewes District Council, Ouse and Adur Rivers Trust and Sussex Flow Initiative partnership to promote natural flood measurement on the River Ouse. Working to reduce flood risk, increase biodiversity, improve water quality and increase climate resilience. Includes planting over 65,000 trees as hedgerows construction of wetlands and 568 leaky dams, opening 4.95 ha watershed storage and reducing runoff.
