Hassocks, Keymer & Ditchling Transition

About: HKD Transition is a collective of individuals from the local community who got together to educate themselves and their peers about climate change and respond accordingly. Over the last decade they have taken action by getting stuck into nature leading bird walks, stream clean up, tree planting projects as well as creating a local food directory of food producers to support buying local. There are over 1000 Transition initiatives now around the world which focus on 4 main principles: Resilience, Localisation, Acting Together and Achieving a More Sustainable Future

Connection to the Biosphere and its principles: HKD Transition is a small piece of a big movement globally which helps maintain biodiversity and promotes a greener future with a focus on reducing emissions through supporting local producers
