University of Sussex: Transformations towards more sustainable agri-food systems in Brighton and Hov

Part of the wider "Pathways Transformative Knowledge Network", this project was designed and implemented with stakeholders, and led by researchers from the University of Sussex and the Institute of Development Studies. It explored the challenges faced by small-medium sized agro-ecological farmers supplying the city with vegetables and fruit. Focussing on issues such as access to land and connecting to local markets, the project produced reports and ran a stakeholder workshop in 2018 around the role of the Downland Estate in local food networks.

A summary produced at the end of the project, with links to the main outputs, is available here: https://steps-centre.org/blog/endings-and-beginnings-project-based-work-within-wider-transformations/
