Meeching Hall

Meeching Hall is a former Masonic hall and is an interesting, old building, situated near the town centre in Fort Road. The main hall on the ground floor is licensed to take up to 110 people and is equipped with sturdy rectangular folding tables and stacking chairs to seat this number. It includes a stage with a dressing room behind, and a piano. There is a separate kitchen downstairs, equipped with a cooker, sink, work tops etc.

Upstairs are two smaller rooms, one of which has a sink and worktop. These can take up to 30 people. There is ramped access for wheelchairs to the ground floor via a side door, and one of the toilets in the “ladies” has been adapted for use by the disabled.

The main hall and upstairs rooms are let separately.
