Josephine Meade Anti-Hunger Act

The act introduced was named after Josephine Meade, who during the great depression routinely collected food scraps and prepared meals for hundreds of displaced city workers and dust bowl refugees and their families. Grocers, restaurants and all other food distributors donate their food surplus. One tool used to help raise funds for the organisation is through the website: http://www.needsokc.org/New-Anti-Hunger-Bill.html ,where they have set up a secure donation link, sponsoring and volunteering opportunities.
