Dr Gary Brickley is working with Professor Ricardo dos Santos of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) in Brazil. Their work is focussed on endurance performance linked to critical power in cycling and swimming.

Dr Brickley visited the university in Florianopolis during the Rio 2016 Olympics and the University of Brighton has hosted a visiting PhD student from the FUSC.

Dr Brickley is seeking funding for the next phase of collaboration which will be a research study in Brazil in 2017/2018.
