Chapel of sandstone and brick

The soils mainly consist of moderately wet and wet sandy, loamy sandy and light sandy-loam soils.

  • Sandstone consists of grains of sand
  • Weathering causes an originally yellow-brown sandstone to turn grey
  • can be finished both glossy and 'honed' (is made smoother by sanding it) (a matte shine, making scratches and spots less visible)
  • contains limescale, under no circumstances should you clean it with acidic or corrosive cleaning products.
  • to impregnate = resistant to moisture and stains
