The Black Rock Rejuvenation Project

About: 1000 rare coastal plants are taking root at the Black Rock coastal project. Working with experts from Kew's millenium seed bank, cuttings including 'Crambe maritima' (sea kale), 'Glaucium flavum' (yellow-horned poppy) and 'Solanum dulcamara' (bittersweet) were introduced to the area to create a new coastal habitat.

Connection to the Biosphere and its principles: Introducing a new habitat to the area to promote coastal bio-diversity and create a new eco-system.
