Rainwater Harvesting project from the sports hall to supply the rec

Barcombe has many users of the recreation ground; the school, the sports clubs like cricket and bowls to name but a few. However water scarcity is a real problem and both the environmental and economic costs involved in 'greening the green' are unsustainable.

Therefore the energy group and Parish Council are pursuing possible rainwater harvesting measures.

It's size and proximity mean that the sports hall could be a valuable source of water. If a large water storgare containers were to be installed, could help service the rec with free water in the dryer seasons (which recentluy has been all year!)
