Formed in 1994 to make use of derelict land adjacent to St Nicolas Church. It was intended to build a hall for church and community use, extend the church burial ground and make the remaining land available as a public amenity area. Planning permission was received, but due to the requirement for archaeological investigations the project stalled for lack of finance. It is at present (2011) licensed to a local farmer for the housing of livestock
