Moulsecoomb - Mapping sustainable citizenship across the City 2017

Critique of Old Map

If a user wants to understand environmental citizenship activity in the city is the information useful? -Not very user friendly -Accurate locations -The colours are very similar -No post codes to the sites or pictures -Some points are vague -Good background research -Related articles at some sites

Should the information be on the map? -Yes, accurate descriptions of companies/sites and how they relate to each category should be presented on the map.

What information is missing? - Contact details - Postcodes - Images for all entries - Basic template for information

Is the information well presented? How could it be improved? - Some of the information is well presented, however, not all of the profiles are in the same format and the indicator colours for the categories are very similar colours and therefore can be difficult to distinguish between categories.

  • To be improved the colours could be changed to be different from one another. Some of the information also overlaps because companies/sites can have more than one category that they relate to. In order to be more formal and organised, a basic template could also be used to improve visual standards and efficiency.
