The Green Roof Shelter

Green Roof Shelter’s green roofed containers provide a selection of simple, robust, small buildings, each planted with species for nectar loving bees, butterflies and insects, and providing habitat and nesting opportunities for birds, bats, and a large variety of invertebrates. The re-used shipping container has travelled in excess of 50,000 miles and is now the Newington Big Local Community Hub/Office.

Newington Community Savers- A branch of Kent Savers Credit Union here every Wednesday 11:00-13:00 or you can give us a call and book an appointment on the number above.

EDF Energy Advice- Free drop in for advice on energy related debts and bills. This is for any energy customers. This will be held every 2nd Tuesday of the month at the Green Roof Shelter from 10 - 12 noon.

Located in the grounds of St Christopher's Church and made from a wildlife friendly converted shipping container it will serve as an office for the Big Local and also Newington Community Savers, a new credit union.
